Sydney Modern-Rock Soloist Releases Emotive New Single ‘Untitled’

Sydney modern rock soloist IAMMERAKI just released another emotive anthem ‘Untitled’. Honest, vulnerable & deeply sentimental, ‘Untitled’ offers heartfelt melodies interweaved with a heavy hitting groove. Akin to the sounds of Taking Back Sunday & Violent Soho, the single is teeming with high-impact guitars & drums which are balanced by softer, intimate vocals. It is fitting that ‘Meraki’ translates to someone who leaves a piece of themselves in their craft because that is exactly what you hear in this powerfully dynamic track.

“This song doesn’t have a name, I couldn’t pick anything that resonated with what the song means to me.” Lachlan Camplbell, the brains behind this machine, explains “The whole song is an argument that took place in my head while I was driving, a lot of the lyrics were written when I pulled over to breathe, I was in a really dark place when it was coming to life. It explores all the issues I was facing; Sexuality & Gender Identity. I wrote this song before I knew who I was, I look back at it now and it makes me extremely thankful I started this project. Exploring my own thoughts has become the healthiest outlet I could have.”

“Untitled, comes armed wearing its vulnerable yet polished heart on its sleeve, complete with pulsating drums, grunge-ready riffs and the ever-emphatic (and ever-so-slightly slacker) vocal stylings of Campbell” – Hysteria Mag

Coming off a successful release of singles ‘Contrast’, ‘Keepsakes’ & ‘Divide’, ‘Untitled’ is the perfect follow-up that showcases a musician who is bold and confident in his signature sound. Though new to the scene, IAMMERAKI has been garnering national coverage and airplay with features on Hysteria Mag, Scenestr, Double J, Amnplify & more. Now with the release of ‘Untitled’, IAMMERAKI is geared up to stamp his name in the Australian Music Scene and beyond.
