PD: How would you describe yourself or your band as an artist?
HH: We are a very old school feel post hardcore band with a taste of modern metal core! We are very diverse artists with a wide spread of influences.
PD: Can you tell us briefly about your background – i.e. where you’re from, how you came to make music, etc.
HH: We are from buffalo NY, hush hush started as a solo project by front man Dominick villa from influence of music he had grown up with a years of musical background inspired him to create hush hush
PD: Who and what inspires you to make music, both in terms of musical and other influences? What do you like to write about in your songs?
HH: My current life and my past gives me the inspiration for the songs we write, musically our influences would be in the genre terms as pierce the veil,sleeping with sirens, my chemical romance and issues, from which would be in the musical sense,
PD: What are your aspirations as an artist?
HH: To write music to spreed our story and relate with our listeners on the ups and downs of life
PD: What is the proudest moment in your music career so far?
HH: The proudest moment for us as band is currently a secret but so far as release of our single “Gin & Toxic”
And broadcasting as a project to the public eye has to be our proudest moment so far!
PD: Promoting one’s music is such a challenge these days, especially with so many new artists emerging from bedrooms
in the day of the home studio. How is that going?
HH: It can be challenging but all things set aside it actually has not been so bad, we have some singles in the works currently so with releasing thru out the year we imagine it will get a little easier on the promoting aspect
PD: And how do you book and promote your live shows and tours? Any performances coming up?
HH: Currently HUSH HUSH is focusing currently in the studio at this time but there will be shows to be announced later on as we go! But we have been already contacted for playing live shows that we respectfully declined during this time! But we are getting ready!
PD: What do you think about downloading music online? What about streaming sites like Spotify?
HH: I think Spotify is a super cool streaming platform which i can highly recommend! And I am one to download music because it seems as it’s so much easier to access!
PD: What song do you wish you’d written and why?
HH: Oh this is hard! I’d say bulls in the Bronx by pierce the veil. It’s such an advanced diverse song with such potential in so many areas of the song
PD: Is there anything you don’t like about the music industry, which you would change if you could?
HH:.I think the music scene can be a hectic place but there’s nothing I would say that I’d want to change
PD: So, what are you working on at the moment?
HH: Currently hush hush is in the studio working on new singles! Potentially leading into an ep!
