Hostia – Interview

Interview with Pete Devine of Pete’s Rock News and Views (

PD: What type of artist are you?

St.Anacletus: Godless Groovy Grind!

PD: Tell us the brief history of yourself.

St.Anacletus: Formed in 2017. Already 3 albums and one EP out. No need to say more – go fucking listen!

PD: Who are your musical and non-musical influences?

St.Anacletus: Catholic sect and mindfuck politicians. Musically – too many to count here! But mostly death-thrash-hardcore kind of bands.

PD: What are your dreams and goals?

St.Anacletus: World domination!

PD: Who writes your songs, what are they about?

St.Anacletus: Music – myself. St.Sixtus – lyrics. Obviously main topic would be anti religion stuff. But we have some old school horror movies inspired songs and – even more on latest album – real live monsters stories inspired ones like “Siberian Werewolf”, “Sister Bernadette” or “Vampire of Barcelona”.

PD: How do you promote your band and shows?

St.Anacletus: Witchcraft always work!

PD: What do you think about downloading music online?

St.Anacletus: Lars was right if you ask me. Well – everyone need to ask themselves a question – do they want to support the artists they like or steal from them. As simple as that. If you ask about digital formats and streaming music – I use it cause it is handy, especially on the road. But I am collecting CDs, vinyls and in the old days cassetes of artists I like.

PD: What song do you wish you’d written and why?

St.Anacletus: “Battery” of Metallica. Because it is as awesome riff as it can be!

PD: What are some of your pet peeves?

St.Anacletus: Have none.

PD: What is your proudest moment in music?

St.Anacletus: Each album we release and each show when people have fun and go nuts with us. Those are repeatable great moments!

PD: So what are you working on at the moment?

St.Anacletus: Nothing! Enjoying new album out and heaving it ready on all the formats as well as playing new stuff live!

PD: What music have you available online and where can we buy it from?

And all the digital platforms you can dream of!
