Philadelphia based heavy post-hardcore band, GRIP, has released their new single,  “Entrance”, from their debut album titled “Early Iteration” out 4/02/19. This is the band’s first release since their “Wolves/Fawn” EP (2015). Over the last three and a half years, GRIP has been working on expanding the heavy, sludgy, noisy post-hardcore sound of the EP into a full length album. The album was self recorded in Philadelphia, PA and Chicago, IL between 2016 and 2019.

“Entrance” begins the album, immediately establishing its agitated sense of dread and opening its continuous mythological narrative. Pulling characteristics from various genesis stories and pitting an early peoples in an antagonistic environment meant to test. The track’s sonic dynamism parallels the uncertain hostility and tension presence existing throughout the album in a microcosm.

The song is available for digital download and streaming on Bandcamp
