PD: How would you describe yourself or your band as an artist?
GG: I think. very original and open minded , open to experimenting with different avenues , and styles and seeing where it all falls
PD: Can you tell us briefly about your background – i.e. where you’re from, how you came to make music, etc.
GG: Sure , i grew up in suburb of Boston Ma , Somerville , right next to Boston , i was always fascinated by music and my parents had a huge record collection , and i used to listen to tons of different artists and bands, i picked up Guitar when i was 17 , took lessons with Joe Stump for 3 1/2 yrd then branched out , creating 3 original bands , and my solo band GIA G , 2 are signed currently with Sliptrick Records.
PD: Who and what inspires you to make music, both in terms of musical and other influences? What do you like to write about in your songs?
GG: It depends on my mood, current affiars , sometimes listening to a particular guitar player , or band , or style will make write, and beleive it or not sometimes jsut working on scales and modes i end creating whole songs , or it just comes out of no where
PD: What are your aspirations as an artist?
GG: Well ive gone way ahead of what i ever expected , having 20 endorsments , being signed to label, signature Guitar , Amplifier , Guitar picks, getting in big publications and magazines , having my songs played and topping charts in varies interent channels, more i would like is to continue the same path with more succeses
PD: What is the proudest moment in your music career so far?
GG: Hmm, i think beong signed to Sliptrick was hige moment , not jsut one project but 2, getting my first endorsment , getting signature guitar , and amp
PD: Promoting one’s music is such a challenge these days, especially with so many new artists emerging from bedrooms
in the day of the home studio. How is that going?
GG: Yes its all about promoting , networking online, its gone amazing , in fact everything ive dome is because of that, all my succes comes from online and promoting
PD: And how do you book and promote your live shows and tours? Any performances coming up?
GG: I have been booking any shows, but the label and mangement company has offered some real big shows , and tours to go on , i jsut feel i need to finishe full length alvum with merch and then see ,
PD: What do you think about downloading music online? What about streaming sites like Spotify?
GG: I mean you dont get paid nothign really , you get screwed , with streaming and downloading , if i was getting paid normal for all the down loads and stream i could actually being making some good money with my own music , but not the case with how corrupt it is , not just with spotify with everyone
PD: What song do you wish you’d written and why?
GG: Queens Bohemian Rhaspody , oh such an incredible song
PD: Is there anything you don’t like about the music industry, which you would change if you could?
GG: So many thing lol, it would a long list one i jsut mentioned in past question , with downlaods and streams,
PD: So, what are you working on at the moment?
GG: Working on the full length GIA G 10 to 12 song with Sliptrick records , looking at a end of 2023 to beginning of 2024 release , will see , maybe a little later release , late winter early spring
