Gallivant

Gallivant

With the release of the full length Celestials album, Gallivant takes some classic genres and gives them a feel all their own. Laced with addicting guitar work, an soulful vocal style, and persistent alternative rock undertones, the record boasts the aesthetic of radio rock anthems.

The first single, “Landshark”, immediately grabs you with it’s infectious groove, followed it’s deep fuzz bass tones and pregressivly fun chorus. Most important though is the songs ability to build breath as it plays on.

“The single’s name is a metaphor in itself, the song is about a man chasing after a girl and wanting her to take his heart back. Not actually about a Landshark. The lyrics themselves are fish and ocean metaphors about a guy reeling in a girl and coming after her like a shark on land.” explains guitarist Sam Hayes of the band’s single.

Gallivant is a riff based rock band that is based out of Omaha, NE. Known for their eccentric stage presence and catchy music.. You can check out their music on Spotify, Itunes, YouTube, and band camp but it is a much more intense experience to see them live. With a vintage classic rock sound meshed together with a new melodic tone, heavy rock breakdowns and ambient ballads, you are guaranteed to leave with a sore neck from headbanging and a coarse voice from singing with us.
