FOUNTAIN ISLAND are poised to break through with their ultra-magnetic new single and video, Pretty Little Nightmare, out now
Contemporary pop punkers FOUNTAIN ISLAND are a band that have the look and sound to be the voice of the next generation. FOUNTAIN ISLAND are a calling to the underdogs, misfits and rebels among us who are told to stay in their lane and not pursue their dreams. Hailing from Canterbury, England and comprised of Alex Porro (Vocals, Guitar and Production) and Ella Delamare (Drums), the band started life in the midst of Covid lockdowns when Alex hatched a life-long ambition to create music that incorporated influences from his childhood – circa 00’s emo rock (All American Rejects, My Chemical Romance and Fall Out Boy) with an innovative tilt and broader vibe. Ella, who brought her love of not just emo, but punk and modern pop, helped complete the necessary amalgamation for FOUNTAIN ISLAND to craft their own addictive blend of new school pop punk.
The exciting duo have already made their mark on the nation’s capital by supporting the likes of Superlove, Chapter and Verse and Two Year Break to sold out venues. With a growing buzz around London, FOUNTAIN ISLAND are now braced to spread their wings and span their reach throughout the UK and beyond. Next up, the pop-punk newcomers will reveal their contagious new single, Pretty Little Nightmares, and it’s an absolute anthem that is ripe for the airwaves. The band remark about its creation: “’Pretty Little Nightmares’ explores the bittersweetness of the first time with a loved one, and the realisation that one day it will just be a memory and can never be experienced again. The track takes cues from Blink182’s ‘I Miss You’, with its melancholy gothic tone whilst retaining the youthful pop feel.” With a raft of material waiting in the wings, and a host of live shows in the works for next year, FOUNTAIN ISLAND are set to be your favourite new band.
