Interview with Pete Devine of Pete’s Rock News and Views (http://petesrocknewsandviews.com)
PD: What type of artist are you?
F: Well, I’m a professional musician and this is my first attempt, as a solo artist.
PD: Tell us the brief history of yourself.
F: I started playing the piano, at the age of six and after 4-5 years, I discovered the guitar and never looked back. I entered the music industry at the age of 16 and began performing live, having sessions at studios and generally living the life of a professional musician. I have toured all over the world and played in front of thousands of people. In conclusion, my life has been always surrounded by music and hopefully this won’t change in the future.
PD: Who are your musical and non-musical influences?
F: David Gilmour, Stevie ray Vaughan, Tony Iommi, John Petrucci, Jimmy Page and thousands of other musicians. My non-musical influences must be my parents, friends and animals in general.
PD: What are your dreams and goals?
F: Stay happy and healthy, both physically and mentally. The rest are of minor importance.
PD: Who writes your songs, what are they about?
F: I write my own songs, for the time being, at least. Well, because of the absence of lyrics, the most important thing for me, is to create emotions to the listener. And it doesn’t matter, if they’re not the same, as the ones I had in mind.
PD: How do you promote your band and shows?
F: I collaborate with Angels PR Music Promotion, so they’re on top of everything I need, regarding promotion, booking concerts etc. And of course, via my social media.
PD: What do you think about downloading music online?
F: As a listener, it gave me the possibility to have access to literally anyone in the world that makes music, and that is a beautiful thing. As a professional musician, and because of all the free downloading, it alleviated my earnings and in general, made my job a lot tougher. I’m sure that the balance between the two, will be restored in some way, so ,we just have to be patient.
PD: What song do you wish you’d written and why?
F: Fragile by Sting. Who wouldn’t want???
PD: What are some of your pet peeves?
F: Mmm, I don’t like it, when someone interrupts me. I find it rude. I don’t like people that have loud voices. And I hate snoring..
PD: What is your proudest moment in music?
F: The one, that hasn’t happened yet.
PD: So what are you working on at the moment?
F: I am basically in the process of writing new songs. I have already finished 5 and continue for more. The exciting part is that some of them will have vocals.
PD: Tell us about your next shows and why we should be there.
F: I got no idea, when my next show will be, hopefully the whole pandemic situation, will resolve at some point. You should be there, because if you liked it by just hearing the E.P, you’ll love it, when you see it and hear it performed live
