ENTERFIRE – Interview

Interview with Nikki B from ENTERFIRE and Pete Devine of Pete’s Rock News and Views (http://petesrocknewsandviews.com)

PD: What type of artist are you?

NB: We are a melodic thrash metal band from London formed in 2017.

PD: Tell us the brief history of yourself.

NB: I started playing guitar at the age of 8 which soon became my love and I was spending a lot of time learning the instrument. At the age of 13 I had joined my first band and by the age of 17 I had left my country Greece to chase my dream of being a guitarist. From a young child my vision was clear… I knew what band I wanted to create and what image it will have.It took me a while to find the right musicians to collaborate and perform live but in 2017 the line up of ENTERFIRE was complete. Last year we released the album Slave of time and later in 2020 the second album will be UNLEASHED.The line up is changing for the second album and it will be officially revealed soon.

PD: Who are your musical and non-musical influences?

NB: The top two influences are Bullet for my valentine which we had the honour to support a few months ago and Metallica but of course as the years go past and every album is going to be a little different the influences will change.

PD: What are your dreams and goals?

NB: The goal is to become a successful touring band with a big discography and known by the majority of metalheads. We want to leave something behind us and carve our name into the wall of metal.

PD: Who writes your songs, what are they about?

NB: I write the songs (NIKI B) and the album Slave of time was talking about how time can not be stoped and that we have to live our life as every day is the last.To live a full life with no regrets.Every album will have a different topic.

PD: How do you promote your band and shows?

NB: We are very active on all major social media platforms so we promote through those and our official web page (www.enterfire.co). I spend many hours of the day for marketing as it is very important for any band.

PD: What do you think about downloading music online?

NB: Now this is a very difficult question and I will answer with my opinion. As a band leader I want my bands music to get out to the listeners in any way possible.Downloading music is a very easy way to access the music of the band you want to listen to but it looses the magic of the album…no cover, no booklet, no lyrics to read but also the sound quality is not as good as CD and VINYL.But I must admit it is very easy and quick to download music and buy music from the major online stores.

PD: What song do you wish you’d written and why?

NB: I do not wish to have written any song as every song I write has my own identity and it is a part of me so I could not have written any song which somebody else has written as I would not have the same experiences with that composer and I would not be able to get into that zone which the composer entered when he/she was writing that song. I love many songs… but I love each of them differently because of that band which recorded it and the way they expressed feeling into that song.

PD: What is your proudest moment in music?

NB: My proudest moment till now was when I stepped foot on the stage when we were supporting Bullet for my valentine in Bucharest. As a kid growing up to their music I was telling my self…who knows maybe one day we will be playing on the same stage… and it happened. It was truly an amazing experience and I will never forget it.

PD: So what are you working on at the moment?

NB: We are working on a new album and we are half way through the demos.Soon when we have completed the material we will hit the studio to create the final masters which will then be released to the world.

PD: Tell us about your next shows and why we should be there.

NB: We are headlining a London show in February which will be announced soon but also we are competing in Metal to the masses London on the 2nd of January for a chance to perform at BLOODSTOCK FESTIVAL.We create a very energetic show and perform the songs of the album Slave of time in a live way and they are not exactly the same as the record but live versions. We create an experience live and not only a feeling which you can achieve by staying home and listening to our album. We connect with our fans and we guarantee it will not disappoint.

Also I would like to announce we have just completed the filming for our videoclip of the track Weapon of broken dreams which will be released in March so stay tuned and always metal.
