Dizorder – Interview

Interview with Pete Devine of Pete’s Rock News and Views (

PD: What type of artist are you?

D: We are Dizorder, French modern metal based in Paris!

PD: Tell us the brief history of yourself.

D: DIZORDER started in October 2018 with Kevin, Max, Chloé and Baptiste, first of all aims to offer a metal with dense atmosphere, shaken up with our French touch.

Driven by the brutal screams of our singer Chloé, we try to leave the traditional comfort zones by giving a touch of trip-hop, deep-house and dark electronic music.

After a first EP “MOON PHASES”, a European Tour in 2019, we have welcomed our new bassist Alex in 2020 and unveil the LP Album “SKY//KIGHT” in December 2020. Dizorder is:

Kevin, guitar
Chloé, sing
Max, drum
Baptiste, guitar
Alex, bass

PD: Who are your musical and non-musical influences?

D: Chloé: If Master pieces can inspire me. For example, for the first part of the album deals with hope. We can feel it and this is reminding me of Klimt pieces. Francis Bacon is more like the darker part of SKY//LIGHT. I could also mention Kupka as for the last part of the album, colorfull.

PD: What are your dreams and goals?

D: We are currently working on a European tour with labels and partners. It’s kinda difficult because of the Covid nightmare. We are dreaming about widely export our music across the world. SKY//LIGHT has just released but we are already thinking about new materials in order to get our music heard by the largest people!

PD: Who writes your songs, what are they about?

D: Chloé writes most of the lyrics. It is about hr cycle of life. For example, our new album “SKY//LIGHT” is composed of three parts. The first deal with life, the second is about death and last speaks of resurrection.

PD: How do you promote your band and shows?

D: We are working with Domino Media Agency, based in Swiss. We promote ourselves and we draw on the expertise and experience of the agency.

PD: What do you think about downloading music online?

D: This is a new form of distribution of music to consumers over the Internet

Music downloading does not involve manufacturing, warehousing, physical sales and distribution. As a result, this is the cheapest method of distribution for artists. The biggest problem that we face with music downloading is the artists’ remuneration. It is difficult because I think it is still an emergent product and consumers need more and more music in one click.

PD: What song do you wish you’d written and why?

D: We would like to write a song about im Covid-19 crisis impacts on our everyday life, on culture and mental health. It is a matter of great concern for us all.

PD: What are some of your pet peeves?

D: We don’t have pet peeves at all! Our experience teaches us to improve all day and to face and to deal with unforeseen circumstances! This is our job as artists.

PD: What is your proudest moment in music?

D: This is our DIZORDERLY SUMMER TOUR in 2019. We produced, managed and provided ourselves all the shows in France and Spain! What a wonderful experience!

PD: So what are you working on at the moment?

D: We are working on an acoustic version of “NIGHT//OWL”!!

PD: What music have you available online and where can we buy it from?

D: All our music is available worldwide!
