CIF: We are the gothic rock band.

CIF: Once upon a time in Eastern Europe, in the ancient town of Prague… Two friends, singer Phil Lee Fall and bassist Gatsby, came together and formed a gothic rock band in the purest form of this style. They are at the moment joined by the angel’s voice of Ambra von Bernstein, former punk guitarist Billac de Ville and guitar spellbinder Mr. Theorodick.
PD: Who are your musical and non-musical influences?
CIF: We are influenced by bands like The Sisters of Mercy, Fields Of The Nephilim, Siouxsie and the Banshees and Joy Division. Our gothic fiction as well drew inspiration from books by Gustav Meyrink and the western movies of Sergio Leone.
PD: What are your dreams and goals?
CIF: To became the best gothic rock band in the world in the 21st century.
PD: Who writes your songs, what are they about?
CIF: All music is writen by Gatsby, lyrics are done by Phil Lee Fall. And Phil doesn’t like to explain his verses. So better check it out yourself.

CIF: Mainly by the social networks and inspired mechandise. Special edition of our album came out in the form of coffin including flashdisc with music and videos, the ligher and papermodel of cathedral. So everybody can set the cathedral on fire. At home.
PD: What do you think about downloading music online?
CIF: It s great. Due to the iTunes, Spotify, Youtube and other channels we can spread our music around the world just like virus.
PD: What song do you wish you’d written and why?
CIF: Mercy seat by Nick Cave. One of the best songs of all the time.
PD: What are some of your pet peeves?
CIF: Fake gothic bands.
PD: What is your proudest moment in music?
CIF: When our first album “Children Of the Blackest Hole” was released. So if you like male baritone growling, postpunk bass deep as Leviathan and pompous melodies, check it out.
PD: So what are you working on at the moment?
CIF: Our second album with the working title Desperado. Hope we will release it before the Christmas.
PD: Tell us about your next shows and why we should be there.
CIF: Last concert took place in the church of St. Martin in the Old town of Prague. Due to our show with massive sound, torches and smoke it was even visited by the local police. But the show was afterwards voted as one of the top gigs of the year in the leading music magazine Rock & Pop. Every concert must to be THE EVENT for our fans. So next show is carefully planned and we work on highly spectacular performance for all the goth fans.
