Interview with Pete Devine of Pete’s Rock News and Views (http://petesrocknewsandviews.com)
PD: What type of artist are you?
CTF: I don’t look upon myself as an artist😁, and I think I can speak for Patrik as well .We are just doing the music we like, and we are happy to share it with you. Of course, it’s satisfying as we can see that the numbers of listeners raises, that’s our wage!
PD: Tell us the brief history of yourself.
CTF: Well ,I am as old as 56, I have been into music since I was 20. I got three daughters, all of them sings much better than me😁 I have a full time work in a construction company, and married my wife Madelene in 2021!
PD: Who are your musical and non-musical influences?
CTF: I ‘ve listened to all kinds of music, and there has been different periods of musical genres as punk, ska, funk. However heavy metal has always been there during the years. I have always been a fan of Ronnie James Dio, his voice was so unique in many ways.
PD: What are your dreams and goals?
CTF: At the moment we are recording new material, and we have some exciting guest appearances. We are releasing a single per month, and I am excited of the quality of these song, it’s a level raise! We are definitely going to collaborate more with other musicians, I think it’s developing for us and our music. Our goals is to improve our music, and perform it live.
PD: Who writes your songs, what are they about?
CTF: Patrik Svedlund is doing the music, I take care of the lyrics and vocals. We can bounce ideas to each other, nothing is written in stone. I write lyrics about just everything, often the music gives you a hint of where to go lyrically.
PD: How do you promote your band and shows?
CTF: On social media, Facebook, TikTok, Instagram .
PD: What do you think about downloading music online?
CTF: There are both down & upsides. I mean if you buy a vinyl, and you’re holding a cover in your hand, that’s a piece of art! Downloading has turned music into a consumption item, though i must say it’s very convenient. It has become easy to release your music, without a label and that is great!
PD: What song do you wish you’d written and why?
CTF: Amsterdam by Nothing but thieves! It has it all, fantastic vocals, and energy along with dynamic!
PD: What are some of your pet peeves?
CTF: Well we got three cats at home, I love cats! They got personality,,
PD: What is your proudest moment in music?
CTF: For me I think it’s when we did “See you on the other side”. Our friend Zed Johansson, who is running a radio channel, asked if we could do a song to honour his best friend who passed away. That is a delicate request, but I do think we pulled it off. I love that song.
PD: So what are you working on at the moment?
CTF: We are working on a third album, we are somewhere in the middle now. I think we’re up to 6 songs recorded, though Patrik is coming up with new stuff all the time ,so we will have to pick the best.
PD: Tell us about your next shows and why we should be there.
CTF: At the moment, we don’t have any performance planned, since we are recording at the moment. After that we focus on performing live😁
