11DEAD – Interview
Interview with Pete Devine of Pete’s Rock News and Views (http://petesrocknewsandviews.com)
PD: What type of artist are you?
11DEAD: A hard rock solo artist really but I’ll always consider 11DEAD a band
PD: Tell us the brief history of yourself.
11DEAD: A life long metal fan who’s dipped in and out of the guitar, not technically gifted but a real desire to write the best songs I can.
PD: Who are your musical and non-musical influences?
11DEAD: System Of A Down, Marilyn Manson and many more really. I like Horror art and Dark art etc.
PD: What are your dreams and goals?
11DEAD: The plan was to try to make the tiniest scratch in the Hard Rock/Metal scene and really get my music heard as much as possible.
PD: Who writes your songs, what are they about?
11DEAD: I write the material and although it’s not planned a handful have shared the theme of Evil preys on vulnerable then comes off worse. ‘Alive’ is based on Lisbeth Salander.
PD: How do you promote your band and shows?
11DEAD: I’m on social media etc but this is the first real campaign I’ve had for a release. I haven’t played live as yet.
PD: What do you think about downloading music online?
11DEAD: It makes music very accessible and also allows artists like myself to upload and get heard. I hear that the artist revenue is low but I wouldn’t know myself what is fair. It’s musical evolution I guess.
PD: What song do you wish you’d written and why?
11DEAD: A Christmas hit would be handy royalty wise. For the love of ‘Question’ by S.O.A.D has to be up there, it’s class.
PD: What are some of your pet peeves?
11DEAD: I loathe littering and bad Architecture
PD: What is your proudest moment in music?
11DEAD: Hearing a track that you’ve written in it’s finished state is really satisfying. So that
PD: So what are you working on at the moment?
11DEAD: I have a new track ready for pre production which is done at home and then to the studio after Christmas.
PD: What music have you available online and where can we buy it from?
11DEAD: 11DEAD music can be found on nearly all streaming/download platforms.
